Outreach and science culture

We go to schools, fairs and open days to explain how machines learn to understand us.

Why we do outreach

We talk to machines every day. We want people to know who is doing the research so that they understand us, and we want the next generation to want to do it too.

We run workshops in primary and secondary schools, take part in fairs and in European Researchers' Night, and work with patient associations and the media. Science is not to be kept: it is to be shared.
